Privacy Policy

Jammit is a privacy tool. It would be absurd for it to spy on you, and it does not.

What we collect

• Jammit does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or usage data.
• Every counter you see (trackers blocked, pages protected, your session seed, your settings) is stored locally on your device via the browser's storage. It never leaves your computer.
• No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs.

What Jammit does on your device

• Blocks tracker requests using the browser's Declarative Net Request engine. The block list ships inside the extension; all matching happens locally.
• Adds legal opt-out headers (Sec-GPC: 1 and DNT: 1) to outgoing requests.
• Resists fingerprinting by adding noise to Canvas and (Pro) spoofing WebGL, audio and device attributes — entirely within the page, in your browser.

Permissions, and why

• declarativeNetRequest / feedback — to block trackers and count blocks locally.
• storage — to save your settings and local counters.
• alarms — to periodically tally the local counter and re-check your Pro license.
• host access (all sites) — tracking and opt-out signals can occur on any site, so protection must be available everywhere. No page content is read or transmitted.

Payments (Pro)

If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Gumroad. We never see or store your card details. Your Pro status is stored locally as a license flag. Gumroad's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
